and i was filming from a whaler. that we got completely airborne…. frequently.

ok heres the deal i am the person who sailed in the video. I’ll admit its mad noob if i were to sail in those conditions currently the video would be a lot cooler. The wind that day was sustained 20-25kts with gusts as far up as 30-35 kts. The video was shot with a low resolution camera so you cant really see how big the seas were. It filmed was in the western long island sound and those were the biggest swells i have seen in our part of the sound in my experience of 11 years of sailing there.

oh, and the sailor just got an 02 this past friday.

that rig is from 73. the things a tanker. and we recently lost both through hole plugs for the two 73′s we have. and broke a centerboard. and thought that we be the most intense match race ever.
