Although definitely an improvement over the outmoded underpowered Yngling, the Elliot is unfortunately an eyesore.
With media coverage becoming ever more important, the ISAF should be more careful in the selection of boats, and give the media appeal more consideration.
The boat looks like a bathtub. The most pleasant olympic boats on TV are the 49er (where audiences get a hint of the action) and the timeless, elegant star boat (even if it is a footchain for the sport)
