Leland Hardy, the Founder and Original Registrant of NEWYORK.com, is shown in one of the heats in a day of races of 12 meter sailing yachts in the waters off of Newport, RI on July 9 2008. Hardy fulfilled the dual role of hoisting the foresail as well as manning the main sail grinder in races against four other yachts, one of which is the most famous racing sailboat in the world, the reigning and defending 2-time America’s Cup Champion, the Intrepid, with its characteristic lime green deck, shown on the starboard side of Hardy’s boat, the Nefertiti, in this exciting, thrill-a-minute action footage.
