Sunfish Sailing Race Start

A Sunfish Sailing start and upwind leg from the Westhampton Yacht Squadron fall Series 2007. The series hosts Sunfish, Optis and 420s. Notes are given as the race progresses. CORRECTION: the film incorrectly names overall 3rd place and B fleet finishers. 3rd overall was David Hilgendorff, 1st B fleet was Doug Volle and 2nd B Fleet was Leslie Volle.

www.keepturningleft.co.uk This is the beginning of a small adventure sailing around the UK in a 40 year old boat. The Mirror offshore is no great racing yacht. At 19 foot long she was commissioned by the Daily Mirror newspaper as a yacht for the working man. This may well turn out to be the slowest cicumnavigation in recent maritime history.
